You gotta know when to throw in the towel.
No language class for me tonight. Instead, I came home, put on comfy clothes, took the dog for a run, and played with my daughter. These things make me happy. Verb conjugations, not so much.
For dinner, David made the ultimate in comfort food: baked macaroni and cheese with friend onions on top. My mother gave him a cast iron pan for Christmas and our home cooking has done turned southern ever since. Regardless, I loved every calorie. All 9,000 of them.
I have a blissful evening ahead, which will consist of laying on the couch and finishing Alice Munro's latest collection of short stories.
