Sharing the chore together makes it less miserable, and as parents usually home with our toddler daughter, it's almost like a mini date (almost, but not quite--the whole counter wiping thing really isn't very romantic).

After hours
While I do not like cleaning up after a big dinner party (today I think we managed to use every dish in our kitchen) I do enjoy the time spent cleaning with my husband--chatting in the kitchen about how the evening went, exchanging small bits of news and gossip, and enjoying one last glass of wine (him) or cup of decaf tea (me).
